Anyone who has been in debt will know what a horrible feeling it really is. If you are currently in the situation of having lots of debt and you are wondering whether you are still going to be able to do all the things that you want to do in order to enjoy your life, this is a tough spot to be in. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers. One of the best and most important life experiences – travelling – is often likely to be one of the first things to go if you are trying to tighten the purse strings. But is this necessary? Can you still travel the world if you have debt on your back?
The first thing to mention is that you might need to alter your sights somewhat; rather than going on that all around the world trip, you will probably instead be looking at something a little more modest. That is a good way to ensure that you can still go travelling, but not in a way that is going to cause you further financial troubles. If you look around, you will find that there are plenty of cheap holidays to be had.
You might be able to travel around by borrowing some money too, which is actually a quite effective way of getting the best of all worlds. You could be worried that you won’t be able to get a loan because you are already in debt and might have bad credit – but actually that is probably not quite the case. There are bad credit loans no guarantors needed type loans which you can look out for, and which are generally going to be enough to help you go travelling wherever you want to go. Of course, only borrow what you think you can afford to pay back afterwards.
Working On The Go
It is also perfectly possible to go travelling and to work as you go around the world. There are so many jobs that you can follow this way. It could be that you are going to become a freelancer of some kind, and that you just need your laptop and you’re good to go. Or you might want to try your hand at teaching English as a foreign language to children in many different parts of the world. That is especially popular, and it’s a great way to travel without having to worry too much about the money.
Skimp & Save
Finally, you can of course make all of this much more doable simply by skimping and saving wherever possible. There are many ways in which you can do this, and you will probably find that you are going to be able to travel for a surprisingly long time if you do focus on this. Whether you end up just slumming it and going in hostels or campsites, or you just make a point of eating out less, you should always find it is perfectly possible.
