I hate all you can eat cheap Chinese buffets when you are no where near China, vodka and coke sold by the pint and beer and a fry up offers everywhere you look.To me, there is nothing worse than going abroad to find the worse parts of your home country have followed you. I had to idea what the ‘wonders of Turkey’ really were.
A few months ago if somebody had asked me what Turkey was like I would have said exactly that, it’s full of all inclusive hotels, children’s clubs, bingo nights, bars and nightclubs. None of which are ever on my ‘to-do lists’ when I go away. However, with a little research I discovered that Turkey does in fact has so much more to offer than most tourists that visit are even aware of!
Turkey is filled with historical sights, from war heritage to Roman ruins, some of which are really incredible to visit! The country boasts some amazing scenery and has some really great ‘wonders’ to visit. Whether you travel by car, coach or train, there are many wonderful sights to see on a Turkey travel itinerary.
Most people (that I know anyway!) that return from a holiday to Turkey bring back photos of them eating at restaurants, sunbathing by the pool, laying by the beach, having fun at a water park. My photos however, were very different. Below are a selection of my favourite photos…. It’s a shame that the average tourist to Turkey isn’t even aware of these magnificent sites they can visit!
There are many different ways that you can travel in Turkey ranging from an organised tour, independent travel using public transport or hiring a car or even cycling Turkey!

Planning a trip to Turkey? Don’t miss out on all these wonders, chilling by the pool might be nice….but these are truly amazing! Make sure you buy one of these unique souvenirs before returning home!
I always wanted to visit Cappadoccia ever since. The houses on top of the rock mountains are so stunning. I enjoyed your photos and your adventure in Turkey. Thanks
