A Breath of Fresh Air: Top 10 Countries with Great Weather Conditions

Some places on this planet seem to be slivers of paradise, where the sky is always blue, the water is pristine, and the weather is phenomenal throughout the year.

When choosing a travel destination with ideal weather, it’s important to note that everyone’s definition of “perfect” is different; but we can all agree that mild temperatures, weeks of sunshine, and cool nights make for the best trips! Here is the list of the top 10 countries with great weather conditions, so you can breathe deep and enjoy all of your travel plans:

  1. Cyprus

The first country on this list is Cyprus, a Mediterranean paradise that has a long summer that lasts up to 8 months. Because of this, the tourist industry thrives. But there is more to Cyprus than perfect weather. The landscape ranges from beaches to mountains, and both areas receive minimal rainfall throughout the year. This means an abundance of nature and fresh air. No wonder Cyprus is such a popular travel destination.

  1. Bahamas

Yes, the Bahamas do once in a while meet up with hurricanes, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be a contender for the best places with pleasant weather. The islands of the Bahamas, near Cuba, are gifted with warm water, tropical temperatures, and boundless sunshine. With more sunny days than cloudy ones throughout the year, the Bahamas are what the island life is all about. If you want to avoid the potential hurricane danger, avoid visiting the Bahamas between June and November.

  1. Spain

Because Spain borders three bodies of water—the Mediterranean, the North Atlantic Ocean, and the Bay of Biscay—you might assume that the weather is wild and unpredictable. However, that isn’t necessarily the case, especially for places like Valencia, Malaga, Galicia, and the Canary Islands. In these regions, the temperature is mild. For example, the Canary Islands rarely go beyond 64°F (15°C) in the winter and 75°F (24°C) in the summer. Enjoy the beaches, boating, mountains, and skiing on Mount Teide throughout the year.

  1. Argentina

Although Argentina is hot and humidin the summer and cold and snowy in places around the winter, it’s the kind that you will actually enjoy. Here’s why: the coastal beaches are stunning, thanks to the tropical rainforests, lush jungles, and the reaches of places like Patagonia. For those who love dry, mild winters, you can check out the mountains of the Andes, as well as 47 glaciers. There is somewhere for everywhere in Argentina.

  1. New Zealand

With landscapes that inspired the fantasy saga “Lord of the Rings” and jaw-dropping oceans, New Zealand is a wonderful place to visit. From Auckland to Milford South, the varied regions of city, mountains, forests, beaches, islands, and plains add depth to the rich culture. Although this means that the climate is just as diverse as the people who live here, you can expect warm and tropical in the north and temperate conditions in the south.

  1. France

Sunshine and springlike temperatures are what awaits you in France. During the summer months, France has relatively level temperatures of about 68-78°F (20-26°C), meaning you don’t have to worry about sweating as you travel around Paris, Bordeaux, and beyond. In the winter, you can expect there to be considerable snowfall and mild temperatures, so if you like snow sports, you’re in luck. Nice, France has some excellent weather, with a yearly average of 58.6°F (14.8°C).

  1. Australia

You might be wondering why Australia made it one this list when it has places like Melbourne, where you can experience all four seasons in a single day. The country is vast and varied. Western Australia, for example, has low humidity, seemingly endless sunshine, and some of the most idyllic landscapes you will ever come across. Then, there’s the island called Tasmania, where the same Tolkienesque landscape of NZ await, as well as bright blue skies, calm breezes, colorful cliffs, crystalline lakes and emerald mountains. In fact, most of the island is the World Heritage area, meaning all the lush landscape is protected from development.

  1. Italy

There are some regions in this boot-shaped country where it can be very cold and wet, like Venice; but for the most part, Italy has a dry, mild climate that persists in both summer and winter. The extremes can be found in the Alps, where it is cold, and to the south, where the proximity to the Mediterranean sea adds some heat. For those in search of the ideal balance, head to the agricultural center of the country called the Mezzogiorno, or “land of the midday sun.” Here, you will find rolling
knolls, vineyards, and days of endless light.

  1. Bolivia

Being that Bolivia is close to Argentina, it shares some of the same weather patterns. However, Bolivia is also made up of a number of micro-climates, including lofty peaks of the Andes Mountains, sticky Amazonian rainforest, salt flats, and fascinating rock formations like those at the Valley of the Moon. There’s also the world’s largest high-altitude lake called Lake Titicaca, shared with Argentina, where the sky is clear and the air tastes sweet.

  1. Malta

Surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is a small country with fantastic prospects and weather. Malta stays a lovely 73.4°F (23°C) throughout the year. With long stretches of picturesque beaches, atmospheric and elegant urban areas, and a bounty of greenery, Malta is the ideal location for travelers who want mild weather and Mediterranean delights.

Tired of weather extremes and looking for a breath of fresh air? Any of the 10 countries listed above are a fabulous destination. The perfect climates ensure amazing views and awesome memories, regardless of where you choose. Now that you know which places have the best weather, it’s time to pack those bags!
